Paul's Birthday Party

thebeatlesarerocking Posted by thebeatlesarerocking at 12:42 PM on June 22, 2009 Comments comments (0)

On June 18, it was Paul McCartney's birthday, so I decided to have a party for the

best Beatle in the world.  I invited a few friends to my house, and we just had a party! We had

snacks, games, and a cake! Paul turned 67, so we listened to the Sgt. Pepper album because

it was released in 1967.  We all started singing, and my sister ran down the stairs and told us to

shut up. I made pins on May 18 for school, but this was the real party. I was so excited that I even

started with scrambled eggs for breakfast, which was funny because "Scrambled Eggs" was

the working title for the song "Yesterday" and I didn't even realize it until after breakfast! If

you did anything for his birthday, tell me!

They say it's your birthday...

Choked up while I read my poems...

thebeatlesarerocking Posted by thebeatlesarerocking at 07:29 PM on May 13, 2009 Comments comments (3)

Hey guys, as most of you know, I've been trying desperately to write a song. I wrote one, and I realized that the lyrics made a very inspirational poem. It's a song about peace, John Lennon, and that choked-up feeling. I started to feel that feeling when I read it out loud.

Here are the lyrics:

Walked to school early this morning

It was just like any other day

My friend just greets me at the corner

We hope that we will not be late

School is over in a flash, yes

I?ve been teased more than I can bear

Repeat the words of good John Lennon,

Strawberry Fields is far from here

Coming home I hear some people singing

I guide myself into the crowd

They are singing the words of Lennon

Singing those words big and loud

And then I realized what has happened

Something great beyond compare

There is no war, no pain, no suffering

I feel myself holding back tears

So now, I see the people laughing

I see them dancing in the street

I see the poor ones and the rich ones

Everyone will celebrate

Because war is over, aren?t you happy?

War is over; now dance

Don?t have to worry

Don?t have to cry

The war has ended; Lennon must be right

So now, I see the people laughing

I see them dancing in the street

I see the poor ones and the rich ones

Everyone will celebrate

Because war is over, aren?t you happy?

War is over; now dance

Don?t have to worry

Don?t have to cry

The war has ended,  Lennon must be right

So I realized how good this was

I was ecstatic; war was dead

But then I felt so melancholy

So did the voice inside my head

I told myself John would?ve loved it

Lennon always wished for peace

Now I stood there, about to lose it.

But my mind got the best of me.

I then quickly called my friend?s house

She heard me crying on the line

She asked me what was wrong, and I told her

She then said to me ?It?s time?

My friend showed up at half past seven

Carrying a binder full of cards

I couldn?t make out what they said yet

I knew how this all would start.

We attached each card to a flower

Then put them all on Lennon?s grave

I wish that Lennon had not perished

So he could see peace being made

So now, I see the people laughing

I see them dancing in the street

I see the poor ones and the rich ones

Everyone will celebrate

Because war is over, aren?t you happy?

War is over, now dance

Don?t have to worry

Don?t have to cry

The war has ended,  Lennon must be right

Now John Lennon was a smart man,

He was a good young boy at heart

He wanted world peace more than anything

He died before it all could start.

So nowadays we all make cards, yes,

On the date of Lennon?s day,

Hopefully Lennon went to heaven,

So he will read what they all say

So now, I see the people laughing

I see them dancing in the street

I see the poor ones and the rich ones

Everyone will celebrate

Because war is over, aren?t you happy?

War is over, now dance

Don?t have to worry

Don?t have to cry

The war has ended,  Lennon must be right

Lennon must be right

Oh Lennon must be right smile

John would've been so proud!

Hey It's me again, what's up guys I haven't talked to you in so long! I want to tell all of you Beatles fans to support me on GIVE PEACE A CHANCE DAY!!!!!!! It's on April 16,  which is also my birthday! On Give Peace A Chance Day, you put aside all feelings of hate. You also have to sing the John Lennon song "Give Peace A Chance" at 12:00 noon or else John's ghost will eat your soul. (Just kidding.) It would be really cool if I could get people from around the world to sing and celebrate. At my school I'm holding a peace march! If you don't know the song, here it is:

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this content.

here are the lyrics:

Hello! What's up guys, I haven't talked to you in so long! I have a challenge for you. I want you to see if you can pay attention to Beatles references on TV and in movies, and post them here. Some samples would be that:

In an episode of The Wonder Years, there is a Paul McCartney poster in a kid's room.

In an episode of an old Nickelodeon show (I forget the name), they were featuring kids that could draw well on etch-a-sketches, and one kid drew a really good picture of the Beatles.

In All That, Superdude's girlfriend is named Penny Lane.

So, now that you've seen some examples, look for your own! They can be obvious, or you could need to think about them a little bit. It will be really cool to see what we come up with!

Audition Excietement!!!!!!! Part 1 (Tune in next week for part 2!)

thebeatlesarerocking Posted by thebeatlesarerocking at 04:07 PM on November 24, 2008 Comments comments (0)
I auditioned for my school's talent show, well, you know. It's been a month since my audition, and The calls have been made. (You get a call if you made it.) I'm in Kansas right now, and they call your house in Chicago. I'm so nervous! I auditioned with John Lennon's Imagine, sung and played on the piano by me, arranged and played by ear. That's hard to do! I thought I did okay, but I missed a few chords here and there, so I don't know. I really hope I made it, because if I do, I'll send a tape of the show to Paul McCartney, and he'll see me perform. But if I didn't make it, Paul will never see me perform, and my dreams will be crushed. Do you think I made it? If you saw my audition, tell me! If you didn't, it's okay, just read the description. I hope I make it! Check in a week or so to see if I really did make it!!!!!! ( I hope I did! big grin <3 )

I hope I make him proud!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday John!

                                                                                                         October 9, 2008

Today is John Lennon's birthday! I wore a peace sign shirt, and made 36 John Lennon pins.  I brought them to school in a little box, and by the end of the day, everyone was wearing custom John Lennon pins! I also took some of those letter cinnamon cookies, and made them spell "Lennon" I also walked home listening to Imagine. (I live a half hour from school, so It played about ten times). Happy birthday John! I know my friends think it's weird that I celebrate the birthdays of dead musicians, but I love it. I only get to celebrate the birthdays of people I don't know (2 dead) four times a year, so why not?! Post comments if you did anything for the Beatles' birthdays, or if you got one of my pins and think I should make more pins for Paul, George, and Ringo. Peace!

Omigosh! I just did something so cool!

Everyone knows how much I love Paul McCartney, England, The Beatles, and Writing songs, right? So you won't be surprised with what I did. It's insane! I'll tell you right now.

I WROTE A SONG, AND I MAILED IT TO PAUL McCARTNEY!

I wrote one letter to Paul, trying to sound cute and innocent, and. . . normal!!! I told him everything, the birthday thing, peace and love for Ringo, and the many albums I've bought and posters I've made. He Probably thinks I'm a total weirdo, and he has a right to think that. I mean, how many kids write to Paul McCartney, telling him to play their song? He's probably laughing right at this very moment. But if he likes the song, he might show it to someone else, like his manager or something. That would be so cool!!!!!! smile Paul was always my favorite Beatle, always, from the start even before the website was created. HE ROCKS! : ) : ) smile smile smile smile smile

maybe he'll play my song and I'll become famous if he decides to use it!!!!!!!

Please post a comment telling me how crazy this is.
